【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareapplicableformeasuringtherheologicalpropertiesofvarnishesandpaints.Inparticular,thelowtomoderateshearratemeasurementsprovideinformationrelatedtosagresistance,leveling,etc.1.1ThesetestmethodscoverthemeasurementoftheviscosityofNewtonianandnon-Newtonianliquids.Thesetestmethodsareapplicabletoliquidshavingviscositiesintherangefrom5x00D7;10x2212;4to103Pax00B7;s(0.5to106cP).Theshearraterangeisdependentupontheneedleusedandviscosityoftheliquidandmayvaryfrom10x2212;4to103sx2212;1.1.2Theyieldstressofliquidshavingthispropertymayalsobedetermined.1.3ThesetestmethodsconsistofdeterminingliquidviscositiesofNewtonianandnon-Newtonianfluids(clearoropaque)bymeasuringthesteady-state(constant)orterminalvelocitiesofcylindricalneedlesastheyfallthroughthetestliquidundertheinfluenceofgravity.Yieldstressesofnon-Newtonianliquidsmaybemeasuredusingthesameprocedure.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
