【摘要】:ISO/IEC10118specifieshash-functionsandisthereforeapplicabletotheprovisionofauthentication,integrityandnon-repudiationservices.Hash-functionsmaparbitrarystringsofbitstoafixed-lengthstringsofbits,usingaspecifiedalgorithm.Theycanbeusedfor-reducingamessagetoashortimprintforinputtoadigitalsignaturemechanism,and-committingtheusertoagivenstringofbitswithoutrevealingthisstring.NOTE-Thehash-functionsspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC10118donotinvolvetheuseofsecretkeys.However,thesehash-functionsmaybeused,inconjunctionwithsecretkeys,tobuildmessageauthenticationcodes.MessageAuthenticationCodes(MACs)providedataoriginauthenticationaswellasmessageintegrity.ForthecalculationofaMACtheuserisreferredtoISO/IEC9797.ThispartofISO/IEC10118containsdefinitions,symbols,abbreviationsandrequirements,thatarecommontoalltheotherpartsofISO/IEC10118.
